Anushka Sharma

Anushka is an actress and producer from Bollywood. She was among the top-paid actors and has won many awards for her performances. Nush, her women's clothing line that she owns and operates with several brands, is a brand ambassador for many of them. Forbes Magazine also featured her. Anushka Sharma is youngest child of Kumar Sharma (retd.) and Ashima Sharma. She was born in Ayodhya the state of Uttar Pradesh on May 1st 1988. Anushka was born to a colonel who retired. Her mother is also a homemaker. Karnesh, Anushka Sharma's older brother, who was in the Merchant Navy is now a filmmaker. Anushka has finished her education at Army School Bangalore. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Carmel College in Bangalore. Anushka has a Masters in Arts (Economics). Anushka Sharma didn't want to be an actress She wanted to become a fashion model or writer. Anushka moved to Mumbai after completed her graduation and enrolled herself at the Elite Model Management, and was coached by the stylist Prasad Bidapa. In the year 2017 Anushka was the first model to debut at the designer Wendell Roricks' Les Vamps Show at Lakme Fashion Week and was selected by the designer to be his final model for The Spring-Summer 2007 collection. Since her modelling debut in Lakme Fashion Week Anushka did several campaigns for brands like and she's done ads for the brands' Silk & Shine Whisper Nathella Jewelry and Fiat Palio etc. Anushka began an acting course and began auditioning for movies along with the modeling profession. In 2008, Anushka Sharma began her acting career with the movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi alongside Shah Rukh Khan. In her screen test she was not willing to take an impromptu one and took one day to get ready. She was later signed to three films by Yash Raj Films. In the movie she played the role of a young bride to a middle-aged man (the role Shah Rukh Khan was playing). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka appeared along with Shahid Kapoor and Vi Das as well as Meiyang Chang in the 2010 movie "Badmash Company". The film received mixed critiques. Anushka was in a movie known as Band Baaja Baraat starring Ranveer who played the role of a middle class, who establishes her own wedding-planning company. This movie was well received and was later a sleeper. Anushka's 3-film contract at Yash Raj Films ended with Band Baaja Baraat.
